Welcome to my website. I make automata that reflect humour through simple movements. Each piece is unique responding with the materials to create a beautifully made original outcome. My inspirations include folk art and my love of animals.  

Born in Yorkshire, I returned to teach Design Technology. I set up my Hebden Bridge studio in 2010 revisiting my early degree ideas from the BA Hons in Wood, Metal, Ceramics I studied at Manchester Metropolitan University . 

When not making automata I enjoy knitting, making marmalade, and biking in the Pennine landscape. What I am currently working on can be seen on my Instagram account.
